The Afghanistan Security Institute (ASI) is online an independent, non-partisan think tank dedicated to addressing critical security issues related to Afghanistan and the world. ASI serves as a trusted source of policy-oriented research and analysis, providing valuable insights for Afghan, Canadian and international stakeholders.

Our mission is to contribute to a deeper understanding of the security dynamics in Afghanistan and its global implications and offer well-informed solutions to enhance national and global security. ASI’s research and recommendations are designed to guide policymakers, international organizations, and security experts in making strategic decisions that foster stability and respect for human rights in Afghanistan and beyond.

As an officially incorporated entity under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act, ASI operates with a strong commitment to independence, objectivity, and the highest standards of integrity in all its research activities.
